Description
After dinner, out we went for a drive on the beach. Though later than 8:30pm when we spotted an adult female, the sun wouldn't set until 10pm so we had ample daylight to "visit" with her. She strolled the beach toward the setting sun, but she was not alone. Our guide called her "Mom with 3" in honor of the bundles of fur that bounded and waddled along with her. She led them through the sand, up a slope of dunes then out of sight into the tall vegetation of the meadow beyond the beach. After a few moments, she emerged atop the dunes, taking in the setting sun, seeming to enjoy a moment of solitude while her cubs stayed safely sheltered in the tall sedge of the meadow.
