The Boston Pop's annual Fireworks Spectacular came one day earlier due to forecasts for Hurricane Arthur to drop soaking rains on New England July 4th 2014. But no matter July 3rd or 4th, the fireworks never disappoint... filling the sky over the Charles River and MIT's Great Dome with "giant sparklers" .

p.s. on a personal note: I watch Boston's fireworks every year but never tried photographing them until now. So glad I did... I'm fascinated by what comes to life with longer exposures. Can't wait until next year so I can try again!
