Artist's Description
Boston celebrated Independence Day 2014 a day early due to forecasts for Hurricane Arthur to bring soaking rains to New England July 4th. So on July 3rd the sky over the Charles River exploded with light and color... including one display that reminds me of Japanese parasols.
~from Boston's Esplanade looking over the Charles River to Cambridge, Massachusetts USA
p.s. on a personal note: I watch Boston's fireworks every year but never tried photographing them until now. So glad I did... I'm fascinated by what comes to life with longer exposures. Can't wait until next year so I can try again!
