Artist's Description
At the tip of Grand Haven pier, rests the South Pierhead Outer Light. Originally built in 1875, this building housed the boilers to run the fog signal. Now sheathed in corrugated iron, with a huge V-shaped concrete base, the view looking up to this building conjures visions of a grand ship ready to take on the mightiest of lake storms.
